The World’s Greatest Hobby
on Tour is a new kind of event that showcases the hobby of model
railroading. Sponsored by the Hobby Manufacturers Association
- Model Railroad Division and by the World’s
Greatest Hobby Program, the show is intended to introduce the
general public to model railroading in an entertaining, lively
and family-friendly atmosphere. There will be hands on operating
railroads for both children and adults. The show hopes to create
new train enthusiasts by exposing the public to the very best
model railroading has to offer. The hobby of model railroading
has a unique ability to bring the family together in activities
that teach many skills. Model railroad skills span from carpentry
to artistry, from electrical engineering to historical research.

model railroading industry. The country’s largest model
railroad manufacturers will be showcasing their latest products

It is a first-class model railroading exhibition designed to introduce
the hobby to the public in an exciting, family-oriented environment.

kids can ride, contests, seminars, and the Choo Choo Charlie entertainment
stage.

There are over 100 Thomas the Tank Engine trains available for
the kids run. There is a riding train for kids to ride.
Who should attend the show?
Everyone. For the serious model railroader the show has manufacturers
displaying the latest offerings in model railroading technology.
The non train enthusiast will find the operating model railroads,
train displays and entertainment fascinating. Kids love the Thomas
the Tank Engine hands on experience. The newcomer to the hobby
will be able to learn from the experts.

What are the show hours?
The show is open on Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from
10am to 5pm.
How much is admission?
Registration fee at the show is $10.00 for adults and children
under 16 are FREE - Registration provides access to the show
for both days. You can register in advance by clicking
